CarDescribe is a software-as-a-service (SaaS) platform that provides AI-powered vehicle description generation for automotive dealerships. The service is operated by CarDescribe and is accessible at cardescribe.com. CarDescribe uses artificial intelligence technology to generate SEO-optimized vehicle descriptions based on information provided by the user.
To use CarDescribe, you must be a licensed automotive dealership, dealer group, or authorized representative thereof. By creating an account, you represent and warrant that:
CarDescribe operates on a month-to-month subscription basis with no setup fees and no long-term contracts required. Subscription fees are based on the number of stores and service tier selected. By subscribing, you agree to:
No setup fees. CarDescribe does not charge setup fees, onboarding fees, or any other one-time fees. Your first prorated or monthly subscription payment is your only payment to get started.
Billing cycle. All CarDescribe subscriptions are billed on the 1st of each calendar month. If your subscription begins mid-month your first payment will be prorated to cover the remaining days in that month only. Beginning on the following 1st your full monthly rate will be charged on a recurring basis.
Annual commitment. Subscribers who commit to a 12-month term receive one month free — you pay for 12 months and receive 13 months of access. Annual subscribers are billed upfront on the date of signup with no proration. At the end of the 13-month term the subscription automatically converts to month-to-month at the then-current monthly rate. There is no evergreen clause — your annual commitment does not automatically renew for another annual term. You will never be locked into a second annual term without your explicit agreement.
Proration. Mid-month proration is calculated based on the number of days remaining in the current month divided by the total days in that month multiplied by the monthly subscription rate. CarDescribe reserves the right to round prorated amounts to the nearest dollar.
Price changes. CarDescribe reserves the right to modify monthly pricing with 30 days advance written notice via email. Annual subscribers are not subject to price changes during their committed term. Continued use of the service after a price change takes effect constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.
Cancellation. You may cancel your subscription at any time by sending a written cancellation notice to support@cardescribe.com with 30 days notice. Your access will continue through the end of your final paid 30-day period. Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of any amounts already paid except as covered under the 30-day money back guarantee for new accounts.
Failed payments. If a payment fails CarDescribe will notify you by email. If payment is not resolved within 7 days CarDescribe reserves the right to suspend access to your account until payment is received.
You agree to use CarDescribe only for lawful purposes and in accordance with these Terms. You agree NOT to:
Monthly description limits. Each dealership store is subject to a monthly description generation limit. Standard plans include up to 250 descriptions per store per month. Limits reset on the 1st of each month. If you require a higher limit contact support@cardescribe.com and we will work with you on a custom plan.
Rate limiting. For security purposes CarDescribe limits login attempts to 10 per 15-minute window. Accounts exceeding this limit are temporarily locked for 15 minutes. Contact support@cardescribe.com if you need assistance regaining access to your account.
Account security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at support@cardescribe.com if you suspect unauthorized access to your account.
CarDescribe uses artificial intelligence to generate vehicle descriptions. You acknowledge and agree that:
New and Used Vehicle Descriptions. CarDescribe generates descriptions for both new and used vehicles. When generating new vehicle descriptions, the tool omits mileage regardless of odometer data provided. You are responsible for selecting the correct vehicle type (new or used) before generating descriptions.
As-Is Condition Toggle. CarDescribe includes an As-Is toggle that, when enabled, generates descriptions stating the vehicle is sold as-is with no warranty. You are solely responsible for ensuring the as-is designation is accurate and appropriate for each vehicle. CarDescribe will never include as-is language unless you explicitly enable this toggle.
Documentation Fee Disclosure. CarDescribe allows you to configure per-store documentation fee disclosure language. You are responsible for ensuring the fee amount, inclusion status, and disclosure language comply with applicable FTC regulations and state dealer advertising rules. CarDescribe provides the tools — compliance is your responsibility.
Description History. CarDescribe stores descriptions you generate for up to 30 days for your convenience. This history is accessible only to authorized users of your account. CarDescribe is not responsible for the security of descriptions accessed through compromised account credentials.
Custom Opening and Closing Lines. CarDescribe allows you to configure custom opening and closing sentences that are included in every description for a store. You are responsible for ensuring this content is accurate, appropriate, and compliant with applicable advertising regulations.
CarDescribe includes manufacturer CPO program details in descriptions for vehicles marked as certified. You agree that:
The CarDescribe platform, including its software, design, and methodology, is the intellectual property of CarDescribe and is protected by applicable copyright and intellectual property laws. You are granted a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the platform for your dealership operations during your active subscription period.
Vehicle descriptions generated using CarDescribe, based on your input data, are owned by you. CarDescribe retains no ownership over descriptions you generate using the platform.
Your use of CarDescribe is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. By using CarDescribe, you consent to the collection and use of your data as described in our Privacy Policy.
CarDescribe reserves the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for:
You may cancel your subscription at any time by contacting CarDescribe support. Upon termination, your access to the platform will cease and your data may be deleted after 30 days.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CarDescribe shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, or goodwill, arising out of or relating to your use of the platform. CarDescribe's total liability to you for any claims arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to CarDescribe in the 12 months preceding the claim.
CarDescribe is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. CarDescribe does not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless CarDescribe and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable attorneys' fees, arising out of or relating to your use of the platform, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any third-party rights.
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of New York, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in New York.
CarDescribe reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify active subscribers of material changes via email or through the platform. Your continued use of CarDescribe after changes take effect constitutes your acceptance of the updated Terms.
